城市建設學院是江西師范大學直屬學院，辦學淵源可追溯至1940年的國立中正大學土木工程學系及1949年的南昌大學土木工程系。1993年原江西師范大學地理系開設的房地產經營管理專業和1995年開設的區域與城市規劃專業是工程管理及城鄉規劃專業的前身。2003年7月城市建設學院成立。
    學院現有城鄉規劃（通過住建部專業評估）、建筑學、風景園林、房地產開發與管理、工程管理等本科專業，有土地資源管理、城市與區域規劃、房地產開發與管理等二級學科碩士點，形成了內容覆蓋“土地資源管理→城鄉規劃→建筑和景觀設計→地產開發→工程管理”全過程的學科體系。此外江西師大城市規劃設計研究院和江西師范大學不動產研究所掛靠我院，是學校直屬科研機構，每年承擔了大量的橫向和縱向科研任務。

    The College of City Construction, established in July 2003, is affiliated directly to the Jiangxi Normal University. The College of City Construction has a long history and can be traced back to the Department of Civil Engineering of National Chung Cheng University which was founded in 1940 and the Department of Civil Engineering of Nan Chang University which was founded in 1949. The predecessor of the Discipline of Project Management is the Discipline of Real Estate Management which was founded in 1993 by the Department of Geography. The predecessor of the Discipline of Urban and Rural Planning is the Discipline of Urban and Regional Planning which was founded in 1995 by the Department of Geography.
    The college has existing undergraduate programs in urban and rural planning (through professional evaluation of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development), architecture, landscape architecture, real estate development and management, and engineering management. It has master's degree programs in land resources management, urban and regional planning, real estate development and management. Formed a disciplinary system covering the whole process of “land resource management → urban and rural planning → architecture and landscape design → real estate development → engineering management”.In addition, the urban planning and design research institute of jiangxi normal university and the real estate research institute of jiangxi normal university are affiliated with our college. They are the direct research institutions of the school and undertake a large number of horizontal and vertical scientific research tasks each year.
    At present, the College of City Construction has 50 full-time faculty, including 7 professors, 17 associate professors and senior engineers, Among them, there are 19 faculty got PhD degree，the faculty with senior title accounts for 48.0% of all. The College of City Construction makes a relatively rich teaching and research achievements. Since 2013, the College of City Construction has undertaken 9 projects of National Natural Science Fund, 2 National Social Science Fund projects, 2 Humanities and Social Sciences Fund project, more than 50 Provincial Scientific Research projects and 9 Provincial Teaching Reform Research projects. The College of City Construction also has undertaken more than 130 horizontal projects, the total projects fund is close to 30 million RMB. In the meantime, the College of City Construction has been approved 6 national invention patents, 80 national utility model patents. And the College of City Construction has published 7 monographs and more than 160 papers in the core journals. Students of the College of City Construction had got more than 100 provincial and national professional competition awards under the guidance of their teachers.
    In all,there are 800 undergraduate students and 50 graduate students study at the College of City Construction.
