主要研究內容有：混凝土材料與結構的災變行為及控制研究、工程結構的振動控制及健康監測研究。
主持國家自然科學基金、國家“973”計劃項目子課題、江蘇省自然科學基金重點項目和面上項目、中國博士后基金特別資助和面上項目、江蘇省博士后基金、江
蘇省六大人才高峰項目、江蘇省土木工程材料重點實驗室開放基金等項目多項，參與國家自然科學基金重點項目并作為主要完成人完成其子項目一項。
